MARK ANTHONY DEACON

Mark Anthony Deacon is a graduate of the Media Technology Institute at the Creative Production and Training Centre (CPTC). With over twelve years of experience in the film and television industry, Mark has worn many creative hats—including Director, Assistant Director, Production Coordinator, Producer, Scriptwriter, and Floor Manager.

He serves as a tutor in the “Just For Teens” summer program, where he shares his industry knowledge and passion for storytelling with the next generation.

Mark has contributed to numerous local and international projects. He served as Assistant Director on short films such as Kinto, Once Upon a River, and Sugar Cake—all directed by Joshua Paul—and co-directed A Touch of Sugar. His directing credits also include work with Emmy Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph and acclaimed producer/actress Debbie Allen for Appleton Estate’s feature Journey Through the Estate. He has collaborated with celebrated Jamaican talents such as Usain Bolt and many others.

Mark has worked with leading production companies including M-One Productions and Ikon Media & Films. He is one of the directors on the series Revelation, written and produced by award-winning writer/director Mrs. Sosiesia Nixon-Kelly, which premiered on the Digicel PlayGo app.

Additionally, Mark has acted and operated the camera for the late Paul Beale on numerous productions, including Domino Effect, EnTRAPreneur, Bloodline, and the theatrical play True Love.

He directed a powerful PSA campaign for UN Women and the Bureau of Gender Affairs titled No Excuse for Abuse, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.

Mark is also a published author. His debut book, Harvest, is available on Amazon Kindle and marks the beginning of his journey into literary storytelling, exploring powerful themes with depth and realism.

His most recent work includes the internationally award-winning film Behind Closed Doors, which is set for release in 2025.
